About Me

Karen McLeod Massage Therapy provides a range of services to males and females of all ages, to help relieve aches and pains caused but sports events, overuse, wear and tear, physical injuries, pregnancy or postural imbalances.

One of the most significant uses of massage is to relieve stress whether from corporate overload or from everyday physical and emotional stress.

Profile

After 20 years as a primary school teacher and fitness instructor in Oamaru, I changed direction and am now in my seventh year as a massage practitioner. I am passionate about massage and am dedicated to my work. I continually strive to up-skill by attending post graduate courses and conferences. (Conference Committee Member 2005).

As well as having my own practice, I also work from sportsmed, which is the leading Sports Medicine Clinic in Christchurch. I believe in an holistic approach to rehabilitation, and pain management, and I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside professional Physicians, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Podiatrists.
Being accredited to the New Zealand Academy of Sports means that I have worked with many elite athletes and at sports events.
A sense of humour and good communication skills means that I relate well to my clients.
